The next stop on the Philly Liar’s Truth Tour is Aaron’s Books, in downtown Lititz, PA.
We’re doing it on a Friday this time, August 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This should be a ton of fun because it coincides with “Lovin’ Lititz Every Second!” 2nd Friday, when shops, restaurants, and galleries team up to stay open on Main and Broad streets. Musicians, dancers, artists and entertainers will dot the sidewalks, porches, and businesses throughout the downtown streets.
Free parking is available on the streets and in the lots behind the Main Street boutiques. You can also park in the lot at the corporate office of Susquehanna Bancshares, which is located between North Lane and Lititz Run.
This Philly Liar’s Club event, which is free and open to the public, features food, a bunch of Liar’s Club authors, and chances to win prizes including signed books.
Come out and meet…

Stop by on August 14, grab something to eat, play some games, and get a few books signed.
So what’s the occasion? “With the rise of online bookselling, and the dominance of big chain bookstores, independent bookstores have been really challenged to stay afloat,” says author Marie Lamba. “We are throwing this party to let everyone know that independents like Aaron’s Books offer everything the competition does, plus more. And that we never want to live without them!” Aaron’s Books is the only general interest indepedent bookstore for 30 miles around.
“Independent bookstores cater to independent minds,” says author Jonathan Maberry. “It’s more than just about selling books – the Indies cultivate a love and appreciation of books, literacy, learning, reading and intellectual growth in ways the big chain stores don’t – or can’t.”
Aaron’s Books has become a cultural hub and a gathering place of sorts. Readers can meet other book lovers by joining book clubs, including a new book group for kids and their parents hosted by Aaron himself, the Crazy for Cozies group, and the Books and Brunch Group. The bookstore also has frequent book signings, and supports local charities with in-store and off-site fundraisers, and local musicians with live performances.
“We hope everyone comes out August 14 to show their dedication, and to hang out with the Liars,” says Lamba. “It’s going to be a blast…and that’s no lie.”
